Due to the massive amount of items out there we've now changed how them items are stored in the database.

Items
The database will now store the quantity of the items you own instead of having a record for each and everyone of them (except when they are equipped or for sale since they then need their own record).

Transactions
Changes has also been made to item transactions, when you send or receive items there will only be one record for each item bundle. So instead of 50 records saying that you bought a snack type there will only be one stating that you bought 50 of them.

As you can imagine this will make the transaction and item tables a lot smaller, atm the item table contains about 25 million records and the same thing goes for the transaction table.

Sell to store and Bundles
You can now also sell a quantity of an item type to the store just like with the "sent to" feature and you can also put up item bundles for sale (for example 50 snacks for 5000:-)

Unequip
When you click edit on an item in the inventory you'll get a list off all ponies who are equipped with that item type and from here you can unequip individual items as well as unequip all items of that type with a single click.

Issues
The first time you go to the new inventory it will automatically "stack" the item records in the database, this will cause your inventory to load slowly depending on how many items you have and on how many other users are doing the same thing. This will also "break" a lot of your old item transactions making you unable to see what you've recently bought/sold to other users, however since old transactions are cleaned out this issue will disappear after a while.

New Gadget: Thread Spy
We also have a new gadget, it's called "Thread Spy" and you can use it to, you guessed it, spy on threads. You basically add a thread to the gadget and it will notify you if a thread has been updated since you last looked at it. You have to access the thread through the gadget in order to update it's status, so it knows that you've seen the last update.

Thanks for the new items. I think they are great but my yellow show ribbons aren't showing up in my inventory. Somehow on the way from the market they turned into green ribbons when they got to my inventory. Is this a glitch?

Same problem here - I bought a blue, green, and 2 yellow, but it shows it as 1 blue and 3 green. Plus, it took 15k for each 'yellow' ribbon and gave me a green worth 1.5k. So I'm kind of sad about losing my PG, even if it wasn't much.

But yes, very awesome items. BIJCYM is very happy. -flees to grab picture-

Love this update!!

I absolutely love the glowing hooves. I will be getting lots of those. However, when I tried to buy the ribbons, it would not let me. Got an message stating temporarily unavailable? So, presume they are being worked on.

Keep the goodies coming. Every day seems like Christmas!

This. I'm not too keen on the whole inventory stacking stuff, but I adore the new items and I'm happy about the Spy Thread gadget! Now it will make it easier to keep track of when I get out-bid in an auction!
